Total time: 1 hour 52 minutes
30m – Fox Punish Practice (Lvl1 Vanilla)
– On a DI away up throw followup up by a pound: When they DI away so a rest is not possible a 2nd pound is a followup. This tends to pop them up for a free back air
– Tried to work out why I have an intuitive sense that dair is better at edgeguarding in a lot of situations than nair or any other move. Couldn’t work it out but did realise dair is often the best move for falling onto a Firefox. Comes out early, extends lower than nair so again hits earlier and for some reason seem less committal
– On ledge after a jumping attack (eg. Upair) you can then airdodge towards to stage and do a wavedash
20m – Shielddrop Practice
Notes: To the right feels super fast now and almost perfect
10m – Crouching WDs
Notes: I can tell I haven’t done this in a while. Finger kept slipping off and hands got really sore. My mind also got super distracted and it was really hard to stay focused
15m – Buffered shield drop practice (vs Marth Lvl1 Vanilla)
37m – Crouching WDs
Notes: Left pinky hurts, must be pressing up against controller weird. Hand is sore afterwards but was able to get 30 minutes done in a stretch and towards the end I was able to stay focused on it without feeling bored.
Going to need loads of practice to feel natural and to not be tight and sore. But something to work on everyday for the next 1-2 months.
